Harry the Hero

Harry went off to live with Elizabeth and Peter earlier this year and has settled in very well....
This summer though he really did them both proud and they sent us the following ....
"These photos show what happened when an intruder visited our house on Friday 5th August this year. Harry was alone inside at the time.
What you can't see are all the metal slats, buckled up and bitten, that were all over the utility room floor. The door blind pictured should be full length but we had to tie it off at the bottom.
Severe tooth-marks are also all over the door handle, but apart from a few small splats of blood, Harry was OK and greeted me as normal when I got home only and hour and a quarter after my cleaning lady had departed !
Harry progressed around the rear of the house and hurled himself at the patio door behind our dining table - again having bitten the metal slats - before pushing aside the other patio door leading to the conservatory where he attacked the blind at the door and somehow leapt over the TV without damaging it (???) before continuing his onslaught on the blind in the corner.
We didn't report anything to the police at the time as we could see no signs of anyone having been on our property, and Peter convinced me that a cat was the cause. I felt deep down that this was implausible as Harry wouldn't get THAT aggressive over an old cat...... he had been VERY ANGRY to have bitten through the blinds like that. Anyway, I let the matter rest.
However, on Sunday (28th) a policeman came to our door making house-to house enquiries about a burglary which had occurred during Saturday night at a house just up the road from us ! He came in when we mentioned our incident, and agreed with me that someone must have been trespassing. It seems that two properties have been burgled in the village recently.
SO - it looks like Harry saved the day as far as we were concerned, bless his little heart. He's just so laid back at home, rarely asking for anything. We didn't think he'd got it in him to protect his house - he wuffs and backs away when anyone comes, and then he goes up for a sniff and says hello."
