Rosie
Dear, sweet, beautiful Rosie came into our care at the end of September 2011 looking almost like a skeleton. It was horrifying to see how thin she was and she did make me cry, she was pitiful bless her. Coupled with being so terribly thin, Rosie was also extremely upset, crying quietly virtually all the time. All she wanted was to be held and to feel safe...at last.

Rosie has a wonderful temperament and everyone loved her. She was crying out to be loved all the time and she used to break my heart every week when I took her treats, I so so wanted her for myself, as did Whitney one of the weekend kennel ladies. I wanted to show her how fantastic a dog's life could be with people who would love and cherish her forever.
Then, one fantastic day, Sue and Steve a local couple who had adopted a GSD called Kyra from us in the past, wrote to me about Rosie! They had sent me photographs of Kyra who they had loved very, very much and they wanted to offer the same wonderful life for Rosie...and I cried again!!
They came to visit Rosie and within days she was finally going home. I had one last kiss and cuddle with her and then her Dad carried her to their vehicle. It was a real tear-jerker I can tell you, tears of absolute joy for dear Rosie.
I hope to visit Rosie in her new home, I would love to see how different she looks in real life now. I'm sure she will be the picture of happiness.
We can't thank Sue and Steve enough for wanting to give Rosie the life she deserves. Her traumatic past is behind her and now she has a lovely, lovely life to look foward to, being loved and adored by Sue and Steve and going off out and about from next Spring on one holiday after another in their massive trailer....oh what fun you will have little Rosie, don't forget to send us a postcard! xxxxxxx
Here she was on her first night...bliss!

And then settling in to her new home....
