Watson
Watson came into our care in autumn 2011, along with 5 of his brothers, all aged 6 months old and all gorgeous boys who took my breath away when I saw them! They had led a very sheltered life, but soon began to settle at the kennels.
Watson was spotted on the website by Sally and her family (including a cat) and they travelled all the way from Derbyshire to see him. Of course they fell in love with him and following a homecheck by the RSPCA Derby (many thanks go to them), back they came and Watson was soon winging his way off to the Peak District!
He took a while to settle in but has now become the star of his training class and Sally and her family love him to bits. Here's a snippet of an email Sally sent me....
"Watson's doing fine, he's a very sweet boy, no problems at all, housetrained almost immediately, likes his crate, lovely in the car & his recall off the lead is excellent. We've been to 2 training classes so far, he was a star at the first one & hopeless at the second! They use clicker training which is new to me, but he seems to be very quick to learn things & the trainer thinks he's amazing. Its been a bit of an eye-opener actually because the other young dogs in his group are practically uncontrollable, barking & leaping around & terrible on a lead, but he's so calm & lovely the other owners are jealous!"
Great to hear that he's doing Norfolk proud, bless him. Many thanks to Sally and her family for persevering with Watson, he hasn't been easy due to his separation anxiety, but with time, love, patience and a lot of hard work they have come through it.....thanks so much again xxxx
