The New Centre
**UPDATED 26TH NOVEMBER 2011**
Thanks to the very generous people of King's Lynn and West Norfolk, the face of the West Norfolk RSPCA Rehoming Centre is changing, and quite dramatically so! Enough funds were raised locally to acquire the existing site at Eau Brink, through generous donations from the public and hard work by all the Branch's volunteers to raise funds, and after months of planning the building work is well under way.
The new 10 pen cattery is very much finished and in use and, since it's completion earlier this year, we have often had nearly every 10 pens full, such are the number of new cats needing loving new homes. We rehome an average of 15 to 20 cats a month. The cats currently in residence are now housed in bright, new and very comfortable accommodation. A scheme is in place where businesses or private individuals can sponsor a cat pen for 6 months for a one-off nominal fee of £50. This money will be put towards the neutering/spaying, vaccinating and microchipping of each cat who comes in to the Centre. The sponsors name would be proudly displayed on each pen.

The cats all have an exercise area at the front of their pen, with a chair and wooly blanket to sit, and in the back of their pen, accessed through a cat flap they have their main bed, feeding bowls, and a shelf (again, covered by a wooly blanket) to jump up onto if they so please....

Although funds are available now to rebuild the Centre, these do not cover the continued daily running costs, or future running costs of the animal home as it grows larger. Each and every week new animals are taken in and the Centre's outgoings are high. The Centre is always keen to hear new suggestions for fundraising and anyone wishing to donate their time and ideas to this will be very much welcomed. Always needed are regular dog-walkers, cat-cuddlers and volunteer staff for the charities' shops in King's Lynn and Hunstanton.

Please also take time to visit one of our charity shops, located in King's Lynn and Hunstanton, there's always a bargain to be had there! The details and exact locations of both can be found under 'Contact Us'.

The Branch rehomes around 30 dogs a month, 15-20 cats and smaller animals, such as rabbits and guinea pigs, on a lesser scale, but they are just as important to us. With the new Centre we aim to improve our rehoming figures further, but without compromise. All animals under our care are health checked, neutered/ spayed, vaccinated and microchipped before going to their new homes. Every new home is checked by one of our dedicated volunteers and we offer lifelong rescue back-up for all our animals.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for caring.
